Galil Sniper

The Galil Sniper is a sniper rifle developed from the Galil Assault Rifle. The rifle was designed by Yisrael Galili and manufactured by the Israeli Defence Industries (IMI). It has seen action in numerous conflicts such as the Lebanon Conflict, the 1993 War in Somalia, the South African Border War and many others.

The sniper rifle has a much heavier barrel when compared with the assault rifle. It also features a bipod, a foldable butt and a Nimrod aiming scope. The design of the Galil Sniper puts more emphasis on robustness and rigidity rather than accuracy. For this reason, though the sniper rifle is not so accurate, it is nevertheless very reliable in the field.
